Bonnie Hunt (born September 22, 1961) is a comedian and actress from the U.S.. She has played roles in films such as Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Hunt has provided voice roles in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story franchises. She has been featured in shows like Grand and Davis Rules, as well as creating, producing, and starring in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. She was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show from 2008 to 2010. Early life Bonnie Lee Hunt was born on September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother is of Polish descent. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, including Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, and also worked part-time as a nurse's aide. In 1982, Hunt worked as an oncology nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 1984, she co-founded an improvisational comedy troupe called An Impulsive Thing. In 1986, Hunt joined Chicago's famed Second City troupe. She auditioned for the part of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man in 1988 while still a nurse, ultimately winning the role.
